Living Areas

The double-story atrium, with its giant picture windows looking on to the lake, is the first room you come to as you enter the house through the large ‘castle doors’. With its comfy sofas, the TV and DVD player, and a view to die for, it is the perfect place for some ‘quiet time’, or to watch a movie.

The French-cafĂ© inspired kitchenette contains a fridge, coffee machine, two tables and chairs, a sink and a microwave, plus all of the utensils you could possibly need during your stay (the big cooking can be done for you in the sub-building). Situated between the terrace and the atrium, it tends to be the most sociable room in the house – the place where guests gather before a meal for drinks, check e-mail, grab a lunchtime snack, write postcards, play board games, or apply suntan lotion!

The covered terrace has a 10-seater dining table as well as sitting area. Facing the lake on two sides, it leads on to a wooden deck (where sun-lovers can bask on loungers), the pool and a lawn, giving parents the idea vantage point to keep an eye on children playing.
